The map depicts the 'recent African origin model,' a hypothesis about human migration that asserts that modern humans originated in East-Africa between 300,000 and 200,000 years ago and spread through Eurasia between 70,000 and 60,000 years ago and from there, eventually colonized the whole world.
The map explores the relationship between lifeboat occupancy by class and their location about the RMS Titanic.
